SFTC met 14 Dec 2019 and discussion continued afterwards by email. Some issues have, inevitably, been overtaken by the Covid-19 pandemic and the wholesale cancellation of competitions. Still worth noting:
- F3F Team Manager: John Treble appointed
- Shift of electric thermal duration towards F5J: BARCS was no longer pushing ELG and would concentrate on F5J. A steady move towards F5J was also recognised in eSoaring circles though some competitions to those rules in 2020 were (then!) thought still likely. Two days F5J, one day eSoaring and no ELG were planned for the 2020 SF Nationals.
- Changes to F5J team selection: SFTC favoured moving to selection on the basis of several designated competitions rather than a single Team Trial. Important details remain to be resolved and depend on decisions elsewhere within the BMFA.
